  All the doctors and nurses are wonderful I just think we need better parking because it is hard to find a park and when your appointment is late you can’t drive anywhere because you will lose your park because there’s not enough parks. Also they need some coffee machines in the hallways for when the coffee shop is closed.

  It astounds me that anyone could speak badly about this hospital. From the gorgeous room with its stunning views across the city to Mt Archer to the care and compassion of the nurses. Maybe I was lucky enough to be under a truly competent and caring doctor - Dr Syed Atique - because I honestly couldn’t fault anything. Even the registration staff were lovely. While it’s stressful and scary to be seriously sick, meeting lovely people such as those connected to the Mater Hospital in Rockhampton made it all worthwhile. I’ve only been in one hospital to match the Mater - and that’s the Rockhampton Base Hospital. The people of Central Queensland are incredibly lucky to have such world-class medical care. I wouldn’t wish to be anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff who looked after me at both hospitals. I’ll be forever grateful to you.

  Today, the Spencer St side. Nurse ( Kacey or Casey) in the MRI section. Ten out of ten for helpfulness & understanding. You made me get through this awful experience so well. Also, the American/ Canadian Dr, made this experience bearable. I just want to say thankyou.

  Had day surgery on unromantic Valentines day. The experience from Covid testing to discharge was made pleasant (as possible)and professional by the staff in all areas. I do not enjoy the medical train ride but it is required at this time. I found all personnel to be well organized and trained but still with time to be individually caring. There was a considerable wait in preop but I think that when your on a list it is inevitable. I am not wealthy or possess social importance but I was treated with respect and kindness. It is a difficult vocation to work in and I am thankful that I live in Australia. People who have travelled to other even first world countries would appreciate just how lucky we are.

  I've just had knee op, to me the Mater was like 5 star!!! Dr Smith and Dr Tay were just fantastic, caring people, not to mention all the nurses and other staff. The Rockhampton Mater hospital runs like a well oiled machine. The food was lovely and no way would you ever be hungry. Time spent at the Marter, was like a holiday. Thankyou to all that looked after me.

  Out of Hours Clinic - staff caring & knowledgeable - on call Dr Jeff Clark was punctual & brilliant with swift diagnosis. Top marks all around !!
